How do you offer a free move?
It's simple, we are paid an agent referral fee for referring new clients to most apartment communities. We use the referral fee we collect to pay for your free move.

Is it really FREE?
Yes, the LuckTruck™ Free Move is really FREE if you qualify! In most cases, we will move all of your belongings to your new apartment for free. See What we Move for Free and our Disclaimers pages for all the details.

Will I still qualify for specials offered by the apartment complex?
YES, our agent referral fee is separate of any promotions that the apartment complex is currently offering, so when you use LuckTruck™, not only can you move for free or receive a substantial cash rebate, but you also qualify for any specials, discounts, coupons, or promotions that the apartment complex offers!

Why does the LuckTruck Special Offer differ for each community?
At LuckTruck, we have developed special relationships with each of the apartment communities in our database enabling us to provide you with the LuckTruck Special Offer. Based on the referral fee offered for each community, we are able to offer you either a cash rebate or a LuckTruck FREE Move. The LuckTruck Special Offer is specific to each apartment community based on our referral fee.

How to Qualify

How do I qualify for the LuckTruck Special Offer?
To qualify for your LuckTruck™ Free Move or Cash Rebate you must have learned about your new apartment community through either our online apartment database or through the help of one of our licensed apartment locator specialists. When you tour your selected apartments, make sure to list "LuckTruck" as your referring source on all guest cards and lease applications. Once you have an accepted lease application, you can then sign in and schedule your move. It's that simple! Please see our Disclaimers page for full details on how to qualify.

What are some common reasons for not qualifying for the LuckTruck Special Offer?
The most common reason is failing to list "LuckTruck" on your guest card or lease application. You also must not have learned of the property before registering with LuckTruck™ and you must sign a lease for at least the minimum lease term specified for that community. Also, prior to visiting your chosen communities, you must add the community to your favorites list. Please see our Disclaimers page for full details on how to qualify.

What if I put the wrong referrer on the guest card or lease application?
Unfortunately, you are out of luck. Unless you list LuckTruck™ on all guest cards and lease applications, we cannot provide you a free move or a cash rebate. Listing "Friend," "Locator," "Drive by," "Internet," "Online," etc. DO NOT qualify.

Moving

How do I schedule my move once I have an approved application?
Once you have an approved lease application, and have listed LuckTruck™ on your guest card and lease application, you are ready to schedule your free move. Log on to your account at LuckTruck.com and click on the button to "Schedule Your Move." Fill out the form and click "Submit." We will then process your request and verify with your apartment complex that "LuckTruck" is listed on the guest card and lease application. Once verified, we will contact you to confirm your move date and time.

How do I claim my cash rebate once I have an approved application?
Once you have an approved lease application, and have listed LuckTruck™ on your guest card and lease application, you are ready to claim your cash rebate. Log on to your account at LuckTruck.com and click on the button to "Claim My Cash." Fill out the form and click "Submit." We will then process your request and verify with your apartment complex that "LuckTruck" is listed on the guest card and lease application. Once verified, we will mail your rebate check to you on your move in day. Please allow up to 10 days to receive your rebate check via mail.

How far in advance do I need to schedule my move?
LuckTruck™ requests that moves be scheduled at least 2 weeks prior to your requested move date and time. If your move is less than 2 weeks away, we may not be able to provide you with the LuckTruck Moving Special.

Can LuckTruck™ move me from a storage unit, house, etc. to my new apartment?
Yes, we can move you from a storage unit, house, etc. If you have more than 1 pick-up location, we charge $25 for each additional pick-up location, plus $3 for each additional mile. See Special Circumstances.

I am moving to a new apartment with a roommate who is moving from a different address. Do we both qualify for a free move?
Only 1 pick up location is included in the free move offer. We charge $25 for each additional pick up location, plus $3 for each additional mile. Limitations on contents apply, see what's included in the LuckTruck™ Free Move.

How do I pay for any special handling items or other miscellaneous charges?
Any miscellaneous charges are to be paid by cash or check directly to the moving company. Payment must be made prior to the completion of your move.

Can LuckTruck™ move me to another unit in the property that I already live at?
No, if you currently live at a property, then you already have prior knowledge of this property, and therefore do not qualify for the LuckTruck Special Offer. This is considered an on-site transfer.

Does LuckTruck™ provide packing boxes?
At this time, LuckTruck™ does not provide packing boxes.

I need a moving company, but do not need your apartment locator service, can you provide me a quote to move me?
Yes, LuckTruck can provide you with a moving quote. Roll over the "How it Works" menu and click on "Moving Quote." Fill out the form and you will be sent an estimate within 24 hours.

I would rather move myself, can I get a cash rebate offer instead?
Yes, if you prefer to move yourself, we can provide you with a LuckTruck™ Cash Rebate instead of your LuckTruck™ Free Move offer.

How do I request a LuckTruck Cash Rebate?
To request a LuckTruck cash rebate, click on "Claim My Cash" and select your chosen apartment community. You will be presented with the Cash Rebate amount for the community. Fill out the form and submit your request. Your cash rebate request will be processed and you will be notified once your cash rebate request has been approved. You may check the status of your rebate at any time by visiting your MyLuckTruck.com page.

When is my LuckTruck™ Cash Rebate paid to me?

Your cash rebate is mailed to you on your move in date. It can take up to 10 days after your move in date to receive your LuckTruck Cash Rebate. You can always check the status of your rebate by visiting your MyLuckTruck.com page.
